Strategies to Trim And Reduce (STAR) takes place for 10 weeks every year. It starts January 22nd at 6pm, and runs every Tuesday for 10 weeks, except on Mardis Gras. Those who sign up to participate come weekly and address topics such as: Decrease your Risk for Heart Disease, Understand and Manage High Blood Pressure, Maintain a Healthy Weight, Communicating with your Healthcare Provider, Medication Education & Pharmacy Conferences, Exercise and Relaxation. We now have 5 large beds for our garden.
If you are interested in having your own section to plant herbs, vegetables or flowers, please let us know. There is water available to the area. You would be required to keep your section weeded. Four of the five beds are 4' by 20'. They can be divided into any size you desire. Two of the beds have been planted.
We invite everyone to attend the exercise group on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30. All ages are invited to attend.
